Internet Privacy at Work

There are millions of people working daily using Internet, maybe email, shopping, looking for information, applying for job, etc. Almost anything that you want can link to the use via the Internet. Have you thought of your privacy protection when you are at work? I can assure that many of us ignores this, nor have no such idea.

Tip 1 - Check with your employment condition on the use of internet while you are at work. If you are not allowed at work to use Internet for personal use, the answer is simple. Just don't do it. There is no good and secure way to help your personal use of Internet while protecting your privacy.

Tip 2 - Look around you. You need to understand your work location. Are your work location open? The more standalone of your work location, the better privacy you have when you access the Internet for personal use. If the work location is reasonably not open, you will need to understand the dynamics of your work environment. When will be the best time that not many people will walk around your area? How can I arrange my computer screen in order to prevent people can directly see it?

Tip 3 - Protect your userid and password. Almost unavoidably, you have to use your personal userid and password to access certain websites. Websites have capability to assist this logon mechanism easier by storing this information in your computer. Well, this is very convenient. However, it basically allows anyone accessing your website when they gain access to your computer. Do you think nobody can access your computer? No matter how hard you try to lock your computer, there is still a chance. Therefore, if you can, do not use the feature of remembering your password for convenience. Remembering all passwords will be very demanding, you may need to determine what you definitely cannot be exposed, and at least stick to those accounts. Good example for this is your credit card account login, or bank account login.
